Being able to organize bulbs by units so they are not shown all at once.10 votes
Great news! You can now organize your bulbs by units. Check out more details here: http://educanon.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/459232-is-there-anyway-to-organize-my-bulbs
As a student, I understand why a professor wouldn't want a student to skip parts. But it's a hassle to sit through a video if I wanted to watch through it again. For example, if I wanted to review a specific concept in a pre-recorded lecture, I have to wait until the video reaches that point. And honestly, it's annoying. I, along with my professor and classmates, would really appreciate this greatly.12 votes
I want to be able to "stack" questions. Students watch a 3-5 minute segment and get 3-5 questions to answer all at once.1 vote
Available in our new pro monitor :)
We use Schoology as a LMS. It would be great to have the videos created in eduCanon played and responded to within Schoology. There are so many great edtech sites out there but students and teachers are overwhelmed with all the logins/passwords and sites they are asked to go to.24 votes
We have full LTI integration including SSO and gradebook and course management.
Can the answer to a question determine where to jump to in the video?33 votes
This is an awesome idea! This has been built as a the Jump feature in the new /design
It would be great if I could upload videos I create directly to eduCanon instead of having to upload to YouTube first.84 votes
PlayPosit has recently launched an mp4 uploader for PlayPosit premium members/partners. You can learn more here: https://playposit.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1107479-how-do-i-upload-a-video-from-my-hard-drive
Google drive videos uploaded by each teacher would be helpful if we had bulb functionality.1 vote
Great news is that we have google drive video integration live now. It is in beta so let us know if you encounter any issues.
In order to use a google drive video url, follow these steps:
1. Upload your mp4 file to google drive. Currently, only mp4 files on google drive are compatible with eduCanon.
2. Change the sharing settings of your file so that it reads: “Public on the web – Anyone on the Internet can find and view”. You can find more detailed instructions on how to change your share settings here: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2494886?hl=en
3. Paste the “link to share” into the eduCanon Design tab.
Once the video has finished - I need a page where I refer them to fill in a feedback form to get ideas of what they have understood, and what they haven't - the feedback quality is key to a flipped classroom.1 vote
Completed! Now at the end of the video lesson, students have the option to provide feedback on the lesson (was it engaging? confusing? understandable?). That data is directly fed to you in your monitor tab.
A student came to me today, very upset because she can't redo a lesson. She wants to be able to watch the video again and answer the questions just like the 1st time. I understand your position on having students write an explanation, etc., for their 2nd attempt, but I think my student has a point. I use my EduCanon videos (which I love! Thanks!) to present and review grammar points in my ESL class. My student has a test next week. She wants to test herself again to see if she can now get the right answer. I think there is real learning that happens in doing an activity again and getting it right. So, is there a way to make this function an option for teachers? Can I toggle a button or just re-assign a lesson so that students can have multiple attempts in a situation where I'm not grading their responses?
Otherwise, keep on trucking! I'm loving EduCanon and am even getting my students involved in creating their own lessons tomorrow!

Done! Thanks for the feedback! Now in your monitor tab, there is an “X” next to each student’s name. That “X” will allow you to reset their score so they can start from the beginning.
The YouTube videos I'm using have closed captioning available when viewed through YouTube or embedded in my online course.
However, I was unable to turn on the closed captioning when viewing the video quiz via eduCanon.
Closed captioning is necessary for students with disabilities and if you could add this function to eduCanon it would be fantastic.27 votes
YouTube is improving its access to CC on HTML5 player and hopefully will have this feature soon!
When a question pops up the video is locked, so it is hard for users to go back over a point that was just made to better understand it before answering the question. Some may not want this - they may want to "force" their students to pay attention, but part of the premise of flipped learning is the ability to pause rewind and re-watch sections as necessary.29 votes
We have created an optional “Allow Rewind During Questions” as you build an eduCanon bulb now! Simply enable that setting and your students will be able to rewind and review before responding to the question!
a help button!!!3 votes
Thank you for the suggestion. We have added a help button on the top right corner of the dash in the form of a question mark. That will lead you to our FAQ page and an option to contact customer support with a more specific question. Hope that helps! :)
Folders for Blubs so they are not all on 1 page.5 votes
Good news! We have added that functionality. Here is a link on how to organize your bulbs into folders: https://educanon.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/459232-is-there-anyway-to-organize-my-bulbs
Can you add a way to change your password.10 votes
Good news! Students can now reset/change their password. Just follow the instructions on this link and you will be all set: https://educanon.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/376401-how-can-students-reset-their-password
add a teacher setting that can force a student go back (if incorrect), and repeat a segment of the video before being allowed to continue.4 votes
Students can return to a question and write in an explanation to demonstrate how they’ve now mastered the material—visible in monitor tab.
It would be really nice if you could create an eduCanon app for mobile devices. The website works okay with tablets because of their larger screens but it is tricky to use on phones. The easiest way for some of my students to access the internet is on their phones but they are having trouble completing the lessons.88 votes
Great news! We just completed the first draft of our iOS app for iPhones and iPads. You can access the app by going directly to this link from your iOS device – https://appsto.re/us/WEv76.i.
We would absolutely love to hear what you and your students think!
A couple of notes on this first draft: 1) We haven’t yet incorporated Google Single Sign on into the app (although it will be added in shortly) and 2) This is just the first draft so we would love to hear if you encounter any issues.
I suggest that you enable the option for teacher to create worksheets out from the information we enter. Not every student has a cell phone or a laptop, so if I as a teacher can create worksheet I can pass them out to my students.34 votes
I am interested in exploring the full potential of eduCanon! When I click on 'Monitoring', it tells me to purchase for full access! I wanna purchase!! How can I unlock the full power of eduCanon for my students?3 votes
we are using Edmodo and it would be great to have this linked/ easily shared with and on Edmodo6 votes
eduCanon can now be embedded in edmodo, as well as have links posted to partcular lessons.
Allow cropping of chunks of time in the middle of a video while keeping the pieces at the two ends.12 votes
Great suggestion! Now with our Master Teacher package, we offer advanced cropping. Using the “skip” question type, you can remove any middle portion of the video.
- Don't see your idea?
