As a student, I understand why a professor wouldn't want a student to skip parts. But it's a hassle to sit through a video if I wanted to watch through it again. For example, if I wanted to review a specific concept in a pre-recorded lecture, I have to wait until the video reaches that point. And honestly, it's annoying. I, along with my professor and classmates, would really appreciate this greatly.12 votes
I want to be able to "stack" questions. Students watch a 3-5 minute segment and get 3-5 questions to answer all at once.1 vote

I would like to embed an educanon video on a public website (nobody will be logging into educanon). However, I would like to make it so that NOBODY can skip through the video. Could you add an option to make the embedded video impossible to skip through, like a student is watching it?3 votes
By default, eduCanon lessons prevent skipping.
If you embed any of the links marked “share with students” or “share list code” skipping will be prevented.
You’ll notice however that embed codes for “share with colleagues” however allow you to skip around with the video.
Hope that helps!
Being able to redo a video and its questions so you can go back and redo unless your teacher sets it to a certain mode.5 votes
There are two options for students to improve their lesson scores:
1) On the second time through, students have the opportunity to enter an explanation demonstrating their understanding of the material. Through the monitor tab, the teacher can assign a half point or full point to the explanation, raising the student’s score.
2) Through the monitor tab, teachers can reset the student’s assignment by clicking the ‘X’ next to each student’s name. The student then can re-attempt the lesson and receive a new score.
What if you had a search bar?3 votes

Google drive videos uploaded by each teacher would be helpful if we had bulb functionality.1 vote
Great news is that we have google drive video integration live now. It is in beta so let us know if you encounter any issues.
In order to use a google drive video url, follow these steps:
1. Upload your mp4 file to google drive. Currently, only mp4 files on google drive are compatible with eduCanon.
2. Change the sharing settings of your file so that it reads: “Public on the web – Anyone on the Internet can find and view”. You can find more detailed instructions on how to change your share settings here: https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2494886?hl=en
3. Paste the “link to share” into the eduCanon Design tab.
